JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha approved the release of 50% of revenue and capital outlay on 1st day of the financial year today. The timely release of revenue and capital component is expected to accelerate the pace of development in the Union Territory. It merits mention here that the Parliament recently approved the highest ever budget for the Union Territory of the order of Rs.1,08,621 crore consisting of a capital outlay of Rs.39817 crore and a revenue component of Rs.68804 crore. While authorizing the revenue and capital outlay, the Government issued strict directions for timely completion of tendering process before the end of May to ensure that there are no constraints due to the limited working season in J&K. The flow of funds to the subordinate offices will be in online mode through BEAMS and all departments shall be required to submit monthly reports regarding the progress made by them under various components.

Nsanje, Mana: Nsanje District Council wants to explore possibility of entering into partnerships with private investors to set up a meat processing industry in the district to ensure that livestock farmers have a reliable market for their produce.
Speaking when National Planning Commission (NPC) visited the district on Friday to deliver Malawi 2063 (MW2063) vision documents at the council, Chief Planning and Development Officer, Smith Mnenula said livestock farmers in the district are not getting good returns because of poor prices offered by vendors.

Dushanbe, 29 January 2021 – The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) jointly with the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense has launched Tajikistan’s first Countrywide Multi-Hazard Risk Assessment Platform. The platform is designed to serve as a visual risk analysis tool to facilitate better landscape and developmental planning by stakeholders, risk assessors, decision makers.
