BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A deal is on the table for Central pastor Tony Spell to put his legal troubles behind him.
In court Monday, District Attorney Hillar Moore informed the court his office would drop all charges against Spell if the pastor would plead ‘no contest’ to just one of the charges he faces.
Spell was arrested last year and accused of six counts of violating the governor’s COVID-19 restrictions by having too many people gathered inside his church for various services.

BATON ROUGE- Baton Rouge Police have cleared three murder cases that resulted in the arrest of Dexter Collins, even though it appears right now he might never be prosecuted for them.
The WBRZ Investigative Unit exposed this week that Collins was arrested with enough probable cause in murders occurring in 2008, as well as April and September of 2017. Despite there being probable cause, District Attorney Hillar Moore said there was not enough evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that could lead to a conviction. For those reasons, Collins was never formally billed.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again is under scrutiny by the authorities again. The rapper, who has had a long arrest record, is currently under investigation by federal authorities, District Attorney has confirmed.
On Tuesday, February 9, District Attorney Hillar Moore told Baton Rouge s local ABC affiliate WBRZ that the 21-year-old, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, is the subject of a state probe into what happened during the filming of a music video in Baton Rogue in September 2020 that led to the arrests of 16 individuals, including him, on drug and weapon charges.

NBA YoungBoy aka Kentrell Gaulden, along with 15 other individuals, were arrested in September of last year during the filming of a music video, which uncovered fourteen firearms, three grams of marijuana and a dose of hydrocodone. Gauden was charged with possession of schedule 1 drugs, distribution/manufacturing of schedule 2 drug and distribution/manufacturing of schedule 4 drug. He was not charged with any of the firearms.
Police say that they arrested members of the “Never Broke Again” (NBA) and “Bottom Boy Gorilla” (BBG) groups, which they described as street gangs.
