Mifflin County Regional Police Department ¯Public intoxication and disorderly conduct 7:27 p.m. May 7 Officers were dispatched to the rear of 101 South Logan Blvd. in Burnham for a reported fight in progress. Upon arrival, Officers located Jose A. Bonilla, 51-year-old male from Burnham, and James T. Dvorak, 59-year-old male from California, engaged in a fight. Officers found both men to be highly intoxicated. Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. ¯Fugitive apprehended 11:09 p.m. May 8 Officers received information that Justice E. Blessing, 25-year-old female from Lewistown, was currently at the Crown Motel in Derry Township. Officers had information that Blessing was a fugitive from justice. ethompson@lewistownsentinel.com REEDSVILLE A 19-year-old man has been charged with arson for his alleged involvement in causing a fire that burned down the “Biden barn” in the early morning hours of March 6 in Brown Township. One 15-year-old has also been taken into custody for involvement. Michael Rogers Kauffman, of Yeagertown, is being charged with felonies arson of a historic resource, possession of an explosive material, two counts of criminal mischief and misdemeanor and recklessly endangering another person. According to a report from Mifflin County Regional Police Department, the juvenile was turned over to Mifflin County Probation officers and transported to the youth detention center in Centre County. The juvenile also faces numerous felony counts of arson and related charges.

Two teens charged with setting fire at Biden barn

    MIFFLINTOWN, Pennsylvania (WPMT) Mifflin County Regional Police have charged two Juniata County teens with setting a fire that consumed the “Biden Barn,” an empty structure painted with a campaign ad for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and a message calling for unity over division, on March 6. Michael Kauffman, 19, of Mifflintown, is charged with arson, possession of explosive/incendiary material, two counts of criminal mischief, recklessly and endangering another person in the destruction of the Reedsville, Mifflin County landmark, police say. The other suspect is a 15-year-old boy that police did not identify due to his age. The 15-year-old suspect is a volunteer firefighter with the Yeagertown Fire Company, according to the complaint. He, Kauffman, and two other juveniles were driving around in the 15-year-old suspect’s pickup truck on the night of March 6.
