There is a call for change to Philadelphia New Year’s traditional Mummer’s Parade. This is after controversy to a Mummers group wearing blackface. NBC10’s Lauren Mayk went to city hall to find out how city leaders are going to stop these incidents from happening.
An investigation is underway after an 18-year-old high school graduate was shot and killed while watching the sunset with his girlfriend at a state park in Bucks County. The victim’s girlfriend said she saw a man wearing hunting gear about 550 feet away moments after the shooting. Now investigators are trying to determine if the shooting was intentional. NBC10’s Miguel Martinez-Valle reports from near the Ben Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia after an electrical fire knocked out power to the Parkway House Apartments early Monday morning. After being awakened by fire alarms, residents sat in SEPTA buses and their cars to stay warm. Residents were later told it could be up to 30 days before they can return to. Philadelphia Oct 16, 2020
