The Missouri National Guard, Governor Mike Parson s office and local health officials will host their first COVID-19 vaccination event in St. Louis County Saturday.
The event will be held at the Millennium Student Center on the campus of the University of Missouri St. Louis from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. or until supplies run out.
Approximately 2,200 doses are expected to be administered at the event, which will be in addition to the county s allotment from the state, according to a news release from the St. Louis County health department.

Dr. Maryann Mitts used to have two homes: one in Kansas City, where she attended high school and college and where her 94-year-old mother still lives today, and the other in Joplin, where she was the winningest coach in the history of Missouri Southern State University women s basketball.
Now, she has a third.
Traveling on the highway, I have passed Nevada quite a bit, but I had never been in the town, Mitts said after her introductory press conference as the new athletic director and head hoops coach at Cottey College Friday morning. Back when I coached at Southern, Nevada High School came to all of our camps, so I was very familiar with the high school. As I have been driving around, I have been excited about being in a smaller town and being able to build those relationships.
