The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 927 new COVID-19 cases and 5 new deaths Monday, Jan. 25.

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 927 new COVID-19 cases and 5 new deaths Monday, Jan. 25.
New COVID-19 related deaths reported to MSDH as of 6 p.m. Sunday. Five deaths occurred between Jan. 17 and Jan. 24, 2021, in the counties below.

As of Monday, Jan. 25, there have been 265,146 total cases of the virus since mid-March 2020, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 5,777 total deaths.

ON SATURDAY JANUARY 24TH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IS REPORTING 180,000 TOTAL VACCINE DOSES ADMINISTERED. AND NEW FIRST DOSE APPOINTMENTS COME OUT EACH WEEK BUT ONCE THEY RE ONLINE THEY RE GONE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT. DR. MARK HORNE PRESIDENT OF THE MISSISSIPPI MEDICAL ASSOCIATION SAYS THAT S BECAUSE THE DEMAND IS JUST TOO HIGH. ONLY IN THIS CASE THERE S 37,000 NEW FIRST DOSES EACH WEEK. JACKSON, Miss. (WDAM) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reported the daily COVID-19 case count in the state had risen by more than 900.
MSDH reported 927 new COVID-19 cases and five additional deaths Monday.
All five new deaths were reported between Jan. 17-Jan 24.
The latest figures brought the state’s total cases and deaths since March to 265,146 and 5,777.
Positive test results may have been made during the past several days and represent individuals who became ill a week ago or more.
