HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics is warning the people of the Pine Belt after seeing an increase in overdoses related to counterfeit pharmaceuticals in the area.
According to MBN, the Hattiesburg District Office has seen an increase over the last 45 days, with counterfeit drugs believed to be related to around eight to 10 deaths and more non-fatal overdoses in the Pine Belt, pending toxicology results.

Senatobia, MS. (WMC) - Memphis rapper Big Boogie was among two dozen people arrested on the side of Interstate 55 Thursday afternoon after a reported shooting near Coldwater, Mississippi.
According to the Senatobia Police Department, a victim call to 911 just before 1 p.m. saying someone fired shots on I-55. Officers found one person with a gunshot wound. The victim told police there were multiple suspect vehicles that continued driving south on I-55.

Memphis-based rapper Big Boogie was among 24 people arrested in Mississippi over a highway shooting incident that left one man hospitalized.
The shooting occurred on highway 55 just south of the Tennessee border, near Coldwater, Mississippi, at around one p.m. on Thursday, according to the
Daily Mail.
Police officials corralled a caravan of automobiles and arrested 21 people on various charges, including gun, drug, and traffic violation charges. The “Murder 4 Me” rapper, whose real name is John Lotts, was one of 21 arrested on the roadway. Four cars were impounded, and three other people were arrested at another location.
