Mississippi s Attorney General on Thursday asked the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade, calling the right to abortion egregiously wrong, while also asking the court to uphold a state law that bans most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
According to the
New York Times, The court will hear arguments in the case in the fall, giving its newly expanded conservative majority a chance to confront what may be the most divisive issue in American law:
whether the Constitution protects the right to end pregnancies.
Mississippi s 15-week abortion statute was struck down by lower courts, which called it a cynical and calculated assault on abortion rights which are at odds with precedent set by the Supreme Court.

Wanted to add my resistance story of the day. A friend recommended a medical group clinic for HRT based here in my town. I made an appt with the PA, NP, or whatever and I showed up early to fill out paperwork. As soon as I stepped to the desk and presented my ID and insurance I was informed I had to mask. I said, “I have a medical exemption and will not mask, but that’s fine I’ll just leave”. “I will not mask or vax for anyone”. I spoke loud enough where the entire waiting room of 4 people had to have heard. The receptionist called out as I turned and was walking out to tell me she would confirm with management. I was asked to step outside to wait while someone addressed my concerns.
