Michigan adds 1,372 cases, 74 deaths from COVID-19
Michigan on Thursday added 1,372 coronavirus cases and 74 deaths from COVID-19.
The latest figures bring Michigan s total number of cases to 881,057 and deaths to 18,815 since the virus was first detected in March 2020, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.
Of the deaths reported Thursday, 61 were identified during a vital records review.
Cases and testing positivity have declined for the last five weeks. So far this week, the state has added 6,433 cases, 208 deaths from the virus.
Last week, the state added 11,991 new cases and 402 deaths from the virus, a decrease from the previous week of May 2-8, when the state added 18,248 new cases and 464 deaths from the virus.

Coming in contact with viruses and bacteria in the environment fires the body’s system for fighting infection. Additionally, the normal flora, or good germs we have on and in us all the time, also drop when we isolate.

Michigan on Wednesday added 1,560 coronavirus cases and 31 deaths from COVID-19.
The latest figures bring Michigan s total number of cases to 879,685 and deaths to 18,741 since the virus was first detected in March 2020, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.
Last week, the state added 11,991 new cases and 402 deaths from the virus, a decrease from the previous week of May 2-8, when the state added 18,248 new cases and 464 deaths from the virus.
During the week of April 25 through May 1, the state added 25,065 cases and 454 deaths.
The weekly record of 50,892 cases was set Nov. 15-21. The second highest weekly total was 47,316 Nov. 22-28.
Michigan on Tuesday added 1,271 coronavirus cases and 83 deaths from COVID-19.

Of the deaths reported Tuesday, 27 were identified during a vital records review.
During the previous week of May 2-8 the state added 18,248 new cases and 464 deaths from the virus. During the week of April 25 through May 1, the state added 25,065 cases and 454 deaths.
The weekly record of 50,892 cases was set Nov. 15-21. The second highest weekly total was 47,316 Nov. 22-28.

Michigan added 2,230 coronavirus cases and 20 deaths from COVID-19 on Monday, including cases from Sunday.
The latest figures bring Michigan s total number of cases to 869,854 and deaths to 18,627 since the virus was first detected in March 2020, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.
Last week, Michigan added 11,991 new cases and 402 deaths, as caseloads fell for the fourth week in a row.
During the previous week of May 2 through May 8 the state added 18,248 new cases and 464 deaths from the virus. During the week of April 25 through May 1, the state added 25,065 cases and 454 deaths.
