West Michigan Woman One Of Michigan’s Vaccine Lottery Winners Get our free mobile app The first four winners, all winners in the $50,000 daily drawings, were announced today as part of the state s efforts to reach the 70% vaccination rate recommended by public health experts as the threshold for herd immunity among the general public. One of the winners was a retired GM worker and grandmother from Wyoming, Michigan. Larita Lee was vaccinated on the 4th of July at the Family Fare in Wyoming. During the announcement, officials told us that Lee is planning on using her winnings to put a down payment on a new house. Lee says that the sweepstakes is what prompted her to get her first shot, but she wishes she had done it sooner so she would already be fully vaccinated and protected from the delta variant. She said she’s telling everyone she knows to get their shots.
