A popular Berrien County restaurant will need to be closed for repairs after a car slammed into the building Tuesday (April 6). It happened at Baguette de France in Berrien Springs. The sandwich shop sits along M-139 just south of the Andrews University campus and north of downtown Berrien Spring, kitty-corner from the county fairgrounds.
The starling image was shared on the Baguette de France Facebook page showing damage to an oven and much of the interior. Those familiar with the restaurant will recognize the food prep area is on the back exterior wall of the building facing M-139 and the parking lot.
Michigan College Offering Scholarship Towards Cannabis Degree
Back in 2019 Lake Superior State University made history when it became the first school in the country to launch a cannabis chemistry program. Now they’re pulling another first as they launch a cannabis chemistry scholarship, according to WOODTV.
WOODTV says the cannabis chemistry program teaches students at LSSU how to “analyze cannabis-related compounds and contaminants.” And now students in that program have a chance to have some of their schooling covered as they pursue a cannabis chemistry degree. The annual scholarship was established by Steadfast Labs, which is based in Michigan and offers students $1,200 towards their degree.
