State of Michigan officials are recommending but not mandating the public to take additional steps in slowing the state s recent spike in COVID-19 cases.
Specifically, the requests are to:
• Have high schools shift to remote instruction for the next two weeks to slow the spread of COVID-19.
• Suspend youth sports games and practices, whether school sponsored or nonschool sponsored, for two weeks.
• Avoid dining indoors and avoid gathering with friends indoors for two weeks. By opting to dine outdoors or order takeout, restaurants can remain open while operating safely to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the news release said.
