Covid has made it so that they had to shake things up this year. To keep everyone safe, and still help families, you can participate in one of two ways.
Virtual Race: Participants who chose the virtual race option can run or walk the race anywhere your feet will take you at home, on a treadmill, in your neighborhood or at your local park! After you complete your 5K or 10K, you will upload your performance times into RunSignUp to compete for awards.
More Than 110 Organizations Will Participate in the FedNow Pilot Program
The
US Federal Reserve has announced that more than 110 organizations will participate in the FedNow Pilot Program.
FedNow is a payments initiative to speed up payments and transfers. A consultation with a variety of stakeholders took place in 2018 with the concept of FedNow emerging as a new interbank real-time service seeking to support instant payments in the United States.
Esther George, President and CEO of the
Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and executive sponsor of the Federal Reserve’s payments improvement initiatives, stated:
“We’re gratified by the industry’s tremendous interest and willingness to devote time and energy to help us develop the FedNow Service. As a result, we’ve adjusted to accommodate more participants than we originally planned.”
14th annual MSUFCU Student Art Exhibit underway
In spite of COVID-19, the show will go on … with a few twists
EAST LANSING, MI (January 26, 2021) The MSUFCU Student Art Exhibit is back and will open to the public for viewing from Wednesday, Jan. 27, through Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union Headquarters in East Lansing. Young, local artists from 11 mid-Michigan high schools will showcase artwork, hoping to earn votes from those who stop by the headquarters during regular business hours for the exhibit.
With in-person viewing limited this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, most of the public is expected to the view the art and vote online at
MLK commission to feature Dr. Bernice King in its first televised MLK Day of Celebration Jan. 18

LANSING, Mich. â Dr. Bernice King will headline the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commission of Mid-Michiganâs 2021 annual signature event, which will be televised for the first time in its 36-year history. The 2021 MLK Day of Celebration will air on WILX TV 10-NBC, Monday, Jan. 18, 7-8 p.m. EST.
King is a global peace activist and youngest daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. Bernice King was only five years old when her father was assassinated.
