CHEBOYGAN COUNTY, MI – A Michigan man has been charged with several crimes after he allegedly threw an ax at a car with a woman and several children inside. According to troopers from the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post, the incident occurred at a residence on Montgomery Road in Cheboygan County’s Walker Township at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 27. BURT TOWNSHIP Two Greenville residents received minor injuries in a rollover accident on southbound I-75 in Burt Township Monday morning during the snow storm the area was experiencing that day.
Cheboygan County Sheriff Dale Clarmont said deputies with his department were dispatched around 11:06 a.m. on Feb. 8 to southbound I-75 near the 318 mile marker for the rollover accident. When the deputy arrived on scene, he found a 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser on its side in the median, between the lanes of travel. There was an unrelated vehicle in the ditch, blocking a portion of I-75 south, said Clarmont. The driver attempted to slow down and lost control.

HAYES TOWNSHIP, MI – A man is facing several charges after allegedly threatening his wife with a pistol and a stun gun earlier this month.
Justin Robert Kohler, 33, of Gaylord, allegedly attempted to assault his wife with a stun gun and later pointed a pistol at her and threatened her shoot before she fled the Hayes Township home with four children, according to a news release from the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post.
