Police believe missing woman found dead in River Raisin was an ‘isolated incident’

LENAWEE COUNTY, MI – Police are still investigating the death of a woman who was found dead in a Lenawee County river two weeks after being reported missing and say there is no danger to public.
“The Michigan State Police along with the Tecumseh Police Department want to reassure the citizens of Lenawee County that the death of Jessica Fox is considered an isolated incident and the parks and recreational areas in and around Lenawee County are safe to enjoy and explore,” the Michigan State Police stated in a news release.

Witnesses told an Allegan County judge on Monday that a man accused of murdering his daughter over 30 years ago told his wife he was responsible for her death.
Fourteen-year-old Aundria Bowman vanished from her family s home in Fillmore Township on March 11, 1989.
Her remains were found in a shallow grave in February 2020.
Michigan State Police Detective Sgt. Todd Workman testified on Monday that Bowman changed his story several times but admitted that he punched Aundria after he found her trying to run away and she died after falling down the stairs.
Bowman said he buried her instead of calling police and then reported her missing.
