FENNVILLE The city of Fennville announced Monday it was awarded a $1 million grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corp. that will allow the city to replace two aging, clogged water mains that have resulted in discolored water for residents.  The two 1960s-era water mains run along West Fennville Street from the Iron Removal Plant on 58th Street to the Conagra facility on East Main Street.  With the $1.05 million Infrastructure and Resiliency Grant award and the city s $500,000 match, the city of Fennville will replace the two water mains with one larger main.  “The city commission has been planning for these projects since 2015, said city administrator Amanda Morgan in a news release about the award.  They have been diligently working to prioritize the work, identify funding sources, and thoroughly plan all infrastructure improvements.”
