Wicked Local WESTFORD The Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and the Westford Police Department are investigating a Tuesday-evening crash that claimed the life of a 62-year-old bicyclist.  No charges have been filed at this time. In a press release, Ryan and Westford police said the crash occurred about 5:35 p.m. on March 30 on Route 40 also known as Groton Road near the North Street intersection.  A preliminary investigation suggests a motorist driving a Cadillac sedan was traveling west on Route 40, when he allegedly struck the bicyclist who was traveling in the opposite direction. The cyclists, a 62-year-old man, was taken to Lowell General Hospital, where authorities said he later died from his injuries.
