Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has formed a Task Force on Oxygen Supply Chain to work with Central and State Governments to augment oxygen supply by working on domestic capacity enhancement and imports; logistical issues between States including issues of transportation, non-availability of cylinders; policy-level interventions.

With unprecedented rise in Covid-19 cases and acute shortage of medical oxygen pushing the hospitals in the country to the edge, India Inc is lending a helping hand to strengthen the fight against the pandemic as it steps up the supply chain and augments the availability of medical oxygen in different parts of the country.

As the rise in COVID cases go up daily in India, Corporate India tries to ease the pressure on the government and citizens by offering a slew of products and services ranging from free rides to free supply of medical oxygen.
On Thursday, India has reported over 3 lakh cases of coronavirus-the highest daily increase in infections the country has recorded in the pandemic so far. There were 2,104 deaths both cases and deaths being the highest-ever. With 3,14,835 new cases, the total infections stand at 1,59,30,965. The toll now stands at 1,84,657.

New Delhi: The increased capital expenditure for infrastructure projects in Union Budget 2021-22 will push the demand for steel in the country, steel players and experts said. To augment the country s infrastructure, the Budget proposed significant enhancing of capital expenditure to Rs 5.54 lakh crore in the next fiscal, besides creating institutional structures and giving a big thrust to monetizing assets to achieve the goals of the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP).
