Tuesday, Dec. 15
7:08 p.m. Deputies responded to a vehicle crash in Homer Township.
6:02 p.m. Officers responded to a vehicle crash in the area of Sturgeon Avenue and City Forest Estates Drive.
1:14 p.m. A detective spoke with a 50-year-old Midland woman about a possible scam that her elderly mother is involved in. Her mother, an 86-year-old Coleman resident, is allegedly fencing money and other items for a man with a foreign accent. It was discovered that another law enforcement agency has been involved in this matter and the information was turned over to that agency.

Sunday, Dec. 13
11:44 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the area of West School Road near the Midland/Isabella county Line in reference to a single-vehicle crash.
10:30 p.m. A deputy was sent to a car crash in Jerome Township, though the driver had left the scene. A 9-1-1 caller observed a vehicle leave the scene of the crash. Another deputy located the vehicle that left at a nearby business and made contact with the driver. It was discovered the driver had a suspended license, and they were cited for driving while license suspended, leaving the scene and careless driving.

A Wednesday afternoon crash involving a police trooper left four people injured.
At 2:51 p.m. on Dec. 16, a trooper from the Michigan State Police Tri-City Post was traveling southbound on M-18 just south of Shaffer Road when a vehicle traveling north on M-18 turned left, in front of the patrol vehicle. The trooper was unable to avoid the vehicle and a collision occurred, resulting in the patrol vehicle leaving the roadway and overturning in the ditch.
The trooper was transported to the hospital, where he was admitted for non-life threating injuries. The driver of the second vehicle, a 76-year-old woman from Beaverton, was also transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries and is expected to be released later today.

WARREN TWP, MI Police are investigating a traffic crash involving a Michigan State Police trooper and a civilian in Midland County.
About 2:51 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, a trooper from the Tri-City Post was heading southbound on M-18 just south of Shaffer Road in Warren Township when a northbound vehicle turned left into the patrol vehicle.
The two vehicles collided, resulting in the patrol vehicle leaving the roadway and overturning in a ditch.
