Author: Sammi Steele Updated: 6:30 PM CDT May 10, 2021 MIDLAND, Texas Police are warning West Texans about the dangers of walking near busy roads.   Since Friday, there have been two fatal auto-pedestrian accidents in Midland, one on Midkiff and one on Wadley. Police tell us the drivers were not at fault in the accidents Instead, it was the pedestrians, not paying attention and crossing the street where they are not supposed to.  “For us it’s a concern because we see the trauma of it, Sgt. Ed Marker, Midland Police Traffic Unit, said. The person that hit them, even though it’s not their fault, it’s a trauma that’s going to last their lifetime.”

Updates: Urgent search for mum after newborn baby found in Birmingham park Police have yet to find the mother since the baby was discovered wrapped in a blanket at 5.30pm Police are urgently searching for the mother of a newborn baby found in a Birmingham park this evening. The baby boy was found wrapped in a blanket in a community park known locally as The Mound off Shannon Road, in Kings Norton, by a resident at around 5.30pm. He has been taken to hospital but police have still not found his mother. They say they are extremely concerned for her welfare and are urgently appealing for anyone who knows her to come forward.
