Meanwhile, Assam s Special DGP Law and Order, GP Singh in a tweet wrote, Fresh orders regarding COVID-19 testing protocols for Incoming passengers at Airports and Railway Stations in Assam. The testing shall continue as in the past and is not being discontinued.

According to CCTV footage, Dipanjali Kakati physically assaulted a police officer on duty inside Kakopathar Police Station after the police officer refused to set free a culprit who was brought to the police station for questioning. Further, the BJP leader has been booked under Section 332 of the IPC, a non-bailable offence.

Further, the minister also urged the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council to bring petroleum products under GST purview at the earliest. He said that if petroleum products are brought under GST purview, it will be a big relief for the common man.
