Iron Range communities have majority of July county cases Posted David Colburn REGIONAL- St. Louis County’s top health official cautioned Tuesday that while COVID-19 case counts in the county are rising at a slower pace than elsewhere in the state, people should assume that they can still be exposed to any of the coronavirus variants anywhere and at any time. Public Health and Human Services Director Linnea Mirsch said that at the moment it’s difficult to determine a specific trend in the 43 new COVID cases recorded in the county in July, although overall the numbers are slightly higher than in previous weeks. Still, she said, two factors are likely major contributors.
