Woman, toddler missing from Minneapolis found near Syracuse

Amina Mohamed, 26, and Natesha Mohamed, 2, were found Tuesday on the New York State Thruway, according to multiple news reports.

Elbridge, N.Y. A 26-year-old woman and a 2-year-old reported missing from Minnesota were found near Syracuse Tuesday, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
The Minnesota state police initially asked for the public’s help finding Amina Mohamed, 26, and Natesha Mohamed, 2, on Tuesday morning.
Amina and Natesha Mohamed, who are sisters, were found a little bit later near Syracuse.
Troopers used the location from Amina Mohamed’s cell phone to find her in a 2013 gold Chevrolet Equinox with Minnesota plates on the Thruway, according to New York State Police.

Among the session highlights from a Game and Fish perspective was HB 1017, the department’s budget bill, which appropriates just over $92 million to the department for the biennium beginning July 1. Gov. Doug Burgum signed the bill last week, Steinwand said.
Another significant piece of legislation signed into law was SB 2144, which gives landowners the option of posting their land through an electronic database. Land posted electronically will be listed on the Game and Fish website, Steinwand said, or via a downloadable app, making it easier for hunters to see whether land is open to hunting.

As a result of COVID-19 and an increase in requests, the DNR License Center has been working on processing a backlog of mail-in boat registration renewals.
To help customers avoid long wait times for processing, the DNR is encouraging boaters to renew boat registrations online or at a local deputy registrar’s office, rather than by mail. If you renew online, you can print out the confirmation page as your temporary permit. You also may write down your temporary authorization number from the confirmation page.
