Small Grain Workshops
The University of Minnesota Extension Service and Minnesota Wheat Research and Promotion Council have teamed up to sponsor the annual Small Grain Workshops. This has been a quite popular program for a number of years as farmers are looking for a third crop to work into their corn soybean rotation. Plus, small grains are harvested much earlier than corn or soybeans. That gives livestock producers a place to haul manure, or an opportunity to do some tiling in the off season which means a lower cost.
The workshops will be on Zoom so pre-registration is important so you can get the link. You can do that at: https://a,umn.edu.southern-smallgrain or you can email Jared Goplan:gople@umn.edu or call 320-589-1711. In total there will be 3 workshops specific to an area. Monday February 15, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm with a Southeastern focus, Wednesday February 17, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm for Southwestern Minnesota and Friday February 19, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 am f
