(KNSI) – Investigators looking into the shooting death of a man wanted by U.S. Marshals ask for anyone with video of the shooting to turn it in.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is not aware of any video of the incident but is asking anyone who captured the footage to contact the BCA at 651-793-7000.
According to the BCA, officers from six law enforcement agencies worked as part of the U.S. Marshals North Star Fugitive Task Force on June 3 when an officer-involved shooting occurred in Minneapolis.
A Hennepin County deputy and a Ramsey County deputy on the task force opened fire, killing Winston Boogie Smith, Jr., of St. Paul.
