WILLMAR A Spicer man sentenced to prison last winter for a home invasion and rape in Winona County still faces a slew of felony charges in Kandiyohi County District Court.
Zane Robert Pederson, 32, was sentenced on burglary and first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges in connection with a home invasion and rape in Winona County.

WINDOM A duo is set to appear in court Tuesday on criminal charges that they sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant (CI) working with the Cottonwood County Sheriff s Office.
The charges stem from several different drug sales that allegedly took place in September and October.
According to a criminal complaint filed April 6, on Sept. 3, 2020, a CI contacted CCSO and stated that they had arranged to purchase an eight ball (an eighth of an ounce, or 3.5 grams) of meth later that day from Mary Coleman, 39, of Windom. The CI was fitted with an audio recording device, and undercover officers had a visual on the CI during the exchange.

The sentence comes almost a year after the former Glyndon police officer was involved in a vehicle pursuit. In the early morning hours of July 22, Tri had attempted to pull over Destiny Nicole Weaver, 22, of Detroit Lakes, Minn., for driving a vehicle with a burnt-out headlight on U.S. Highway 10 about a mile west of Glyndon, according to a criminal complaint.
According to court documents:
Weaver fled in her vehicle before going into a ditch. Tri told investigators he got out of his squad vehicle with his gun drawn and yelled at Weaver to get out of her car as he went into the ditch.

A Chatfield woman is facing felony charges after police say she assaulted ambulance staff who were called after her vehicle crashed.
Tonia Louis Kruger is charged in Olmsted County District Court with third-degree assault, fourth-degree assault-emergency medical personnel and two gross misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol charges. She was ordered to appear in court on May 27.
Olmsted County Sheriff s deputies were called just before 5 p.m. Feb. 9, 2021, to a report of an accident with injuries at the intersection of Olmsted County Road 10 Southeast and 155th Avenue Southeast in Elmira Township.

GLYNDON, Minn. A former law enforcement officer who shot at a car during a police chase last summer in Clay County will avoid jail time.
Ex-Glyndon Police Officer Matthew James Tri, 36, was sentenced Thursday, April 22, to a year of unsupervised probation for a misdemeanor charge of recklessly handling or using a dangerous weapon. As part of a plea agreement, the more serious felony charge of intentionally discharging a firearm that endangered the safety of another was dismissed.
