Crowds of mourners and protesters gathered Sunday in a Minnesota city where the family of a 20-year-old man say he was shot by police before getting back into his car and driving away, then crashing several blocks away.
Officials from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said the agency was on the scene of a shooting involving a police officer in Brooklyn Center on Sunday afternoon. Meanwhile, the Wrights demanded answers from police.

Social unrest is unfolding in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota after a Brooklyn Center police officer shot and killed a driver during a traffic stop Sunday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, investigators have arrived at the crime scene.

There s a significant police presence as community members gathered near the scene following the shooting.
The gathering was initially peaceful but quickly spiraled out of control into a riot.

Minneapolis: Protests broke out Sunday night after US police fatally shot a young Black man in a suburb of Minneapolis where a former police officer is currently on trial for the murder of George Floyd.
Hundreds of people gathered outside the police station in Brooklyn Center, northwest of Minneapolis, with police later firing teargas and flash bangs to disperse the crowd, according to an AFP videojournalist.
