North Dakota murder suspect arrested in Moorhead

Oscar Ortiz MOORHEAD (KFGO) – The search has ended in Moorhead for a man wanted for murder in western North Dakota. Moorhead police say 25-year-old Oscar Ortiz was discovered hiding in the stairwell of an apartment building in the 500 block of 32nd Ave. South Tuesday afternoon. The arrest capped a day-long search for Ortiz. He’s accused of shooting a man multiple times near Killdeer on Sunday. Police say a gun was recovered. Ortiz will be held in the Clay County Jail until he’s returned to Dunn County. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension had joined the search for Ortiz, who was considered armed and dangerous.
