The Park Rapids School Board on Monday recognized members of the high school Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter who participated in state and national competitions this spring.
BPA adviser Angie Kuehn said 18 chapter members competed virtually at the regional and state levels, and eight of them competed at the national level.

WILLMAR The Willmar Senior High School graduation on June 6 will not have limits on attendance.
Gov. Tim Walz announced last week that capacity restrictions and social distancing requirements for all events will be lifted in late May, and the state s mask mandate will expire July 1, possibly sooner.
The change comes just in time for high school graduations and is part of a multiple-step process of lifting pandemic restrictions. More restrictions will be lifted as vaccination numbers increase, concluding with the end of the statewide mask mandate on July 1 at the latest.

Rochester School Board revealed the names Friday night after discussing the upcoming interview process with Barb Dorn from the Minnesota School Boards Association.
The three candidates are:

As Rochester Public Schools searches for an interim superintendent, those living within the district have made it clear what qualities they would like to see in the leader: someone honest and ethical who knows how to communicate well and will focus on student learning.
The Rochester School Board reviewed the results of a survey that asked people to identify things such as what personality traits they would like in a leader, as well as things that are important to know about the district, both good and bad.
