MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Upcoming construction projects are planned for Seven Mile Creek which mainly deal with trail and general maintenance.
Recent construction projects have caused some concern with the park’s water quality.
A member of the Minnesota Pollution Control agency familiar with upcoming construction says future projects will be approached with the goal of preventing erosion.
The creek flows directly into the Minnesota River and continues to shape the landscape of the park.

MARSHALL Â Members of the Marshall City Council were divided Tuesday night on whether to formally speak out against Minnesota adopting low-emission vehicle standards similar to California.
Council members were united in thinking the question should be left up to the state Legislature instead of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. But some council members thought the city shouldn’t be taking political positions on the issue.
“As a council, we have a history of kind of staying in our lane,” said Marshall Mayor Bob Byrnes. The Clean Cars Minnesota rule was more of a state government issue than a local one, he said.

A semi-truck load of vinyl tape end rolls arrive weekly at P.E.C.E. Recycling LLC, in Cosmos. The company separates the vinyl and cardboard rolls and shreds them. The cardboard becomes livestock bedding while the vinyl becomes the raw material used in making vinyl hoses.
