MLB rumors: Ex-Yankees prospect Rob Refsnyder gets a shot with Twins in 2021

Former New York Yankees prospect Rob Refsnyder looks to return to the big leagues in 2021, after signing a minor-league contract with the Minnesota Twins, according to St. Paul Pioneer Press’ Betsy Helfand. Refsnyder was one of eight players to sign deals Thursday, which include invites to spring training. Per the Minneapolis Star Tribune:
Refsnyder, 29, hit .200 in 15 games with Texas last season. He spent the 2019 season at AAA Louisville, where he batted .315 with 10 homers in 85 games. He was the Most Outstanding Player of the 2012 College World Series, leading Arizona to the NCAA title, and debuted in the majors with the Yankees in 2015. In parts of parts of five big-league seasons (181 games), he is hitting .217 with four home runs.
