Brian C. Turner Named Executive Assistant Director of the Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch
Director Christopher Wray has named Brian C. Turner as the executive assistant director of the Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch. He will oversee criminal and cyber investigations worldwide, as well as international operations, critical incident responses, and assistance to victims.
Mr. Turner most recently served as the as the assistant director of the Operational Technology Division at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. OTD provides technology-based solutions to enable and enhance the FBI’s intelligence, national security, and law enforcement operations.
Mr. Turner began his FBI career as a special agent in 2002 in the Philadelphia Field Office, where he investigated white-collar crimes and criminal enterprises and supported surveillance operations. He deployed to Iraq in 2008 to support FBI operational priorities in the region and joined the Counterterrorism

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $15,000 for information uncovering exactly how Tamara Ann Haas died.

The FBI s Minneapolis Field Office is asking for the public s assistance in helping law enforcement piece together the events that led to Tamara Ann Haas death.
Haas, who resided in Yankton, South Dakota, attended a party in Crofton, Nebraska, on September 17, 1992. She did not return home that night. Several days later, Haas body was found in a ditch near the location of the party.
An autopsy revealed Haas death was caused by hyperflexation of her neck. Haas was 19 years old at the time of her death.

Matthew Lee Rupert, 28, of Galesburg pleaded guilty to one count of arson this week before Judge Nancy E. Brasel in U.S. District Court, according to Acting U.S. Attorney W. Anders Folk. Rupert was initially charged on June 1, 2020.
A sentencing date will be scheduled later. According to the defendant’s guilty plea and documents filed with the court, on May 28, 2020, Rupert, of Galesburg, posted messages on his Facebook account referencing the public protests occurring in the Twin Cities following the death of George Floyd, including one that stated, “I’m going to Minneapolis tomorrow who coming only goons I’m renting hotel rooms.”
