By Tom Moore Apr 21, 2021 (Cleveland) - As you d know, there is a lot of local reaction to Tuesday s verdict that former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of all charges in the death of George Floyd last May. An official statement from the City of Cleveland encouraged everyone to express their views on the verdicts in compliance with the law. it adds that the city supports the First Amendment rights of citizens to free speech and assembly, and encourages people to express their views and opinions, however lawfully. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said that the system of justice worked, as the jury members listened to both sides, weighed the evidence, and came to this verdict.
