A Portland police sergeant was surrounded by protesters and punched in the head Tuesday night during an unlawful assembly, authorities announced.
A sergeant is seen on video posted to Twitter walking his bike down a path when a protester stepped in front of the officer, blocking him, video showed. The sergeant pushes the individual out of his way before he quickly becomes surrounded by protesters clad in all black.
The sergeant then talks to the individual who blocked his bike path, though it is unclear what was said. As the sergeant tries to leave, one protester punches the officer in the head, taking him down.

In the moments after the world found out Tuesday afternoon that former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty in the murder of George Floyd, U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley almost immediately embraced her colleague, Rep. Cori Bush, in a powerful moment caught on camera.
The video, posted to Bush’s Twitter account, showed the two congresswomen hugging in relief for roughly 30 seconds over the verdict read aloud by Judge Peter A. Cahill. A jury found Chauvin guilty of second-degree murder while committing a felony, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

The false narrative that the Derek Chauvin case divided America is nothing less than a coordinated gaslighting campaign launched by the corporate media and Democrats.
While many people were justifiably disgusted by how the media, Democrats, and the left-wing terrorists in Black Lives Matter and Antifa used the Ku Klux Klan’s playbook to intimidate the Chauvin jury, at the end of the day that doesn’t change what all Americans know: the jury’s verdict was just, and former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd and deserves to go to prison for a long time.
“A measure of justice isn’t the same as equal justice,” she said.
Biden addressed the nation after telephoning Floyd’s family following the verdict, telling them, “We’re all so relieved.” He added later that he sought to comfort Floyd’s young daughter Gianna, telling her, “Daddy did change the world.
The verdict and the aftermath will be a continuing test for Biden. He has pledged to help combat racism in policing, helping African Americans who supported him in large numbers in last year’s election in the wake of protests that swept the nation after Floyd’s death and restarted a national conversation about race. But he also has long projected himself as an ally of police, who are struggling with criticism about long-used tactics and training methods and difficulties in recruitment.
