MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Officers found a toddler dead inside of a parked car Friday in southern Miami-Dade’s city of Homestead.
According to Capt. Fernando Morales, the car was parked near the intersection of Third Avenue and Campbell Drive. The area is next to Homestead Middle School.
Morales said the responding officers believe it appeared to be a forgotten baby syndrome death, which refers to parents who accidentally leave young children in a locked hot car.

MIAMI – A 77-year-old man was shot Friday evening in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood, according to the Miami Police Department.
Miami Fire Rescue personnel and police officers responded to the intersection of Northwest Second Avenue and Northwest 48th Street.
Officers first learned about the shooting with the help of Shot Spotter technology. Fire Rescue personnel took the man to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, police said.
Man kills woman, fatally shoots himself in Miami-Dade, police say
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Detectives were investigating a fatal domestic violence shooting on Friday night in Miami-Dade County’s Coral Terrace neighborhood.
A man killed his girlfriend before killing himself, according to Local 10 News sources who said it was a murder-suicide case.
Crime scene investigators gathered evidence in a home along Southwest 22nd Street near Southwest 72nd Avenue. According to property records, the 6-bedroom home has two separate living units.

Miami detectives investigate shooting killing 1, injuring 2 in Allapattah
ALLAPATTAH, Fla. – Detectives are investigating a fatal Thursday night shooting in Miami’s Allapattah neighborhood. They focused on an empty car, as a yellow tarp covered a man’s body.
According to Officer Kiara Delva, three men had been shot when officers arrived at Northwest 35th Street, between Northwest 24th and 25th avenues.
