About 150 people are still missing. Authorities continue their search as the death toll climbed to 11 without a single survivor recovered since hours after the building fell. Some family members have taken buses to a location near the scene of the incident hoping their visit would allow them to shout the names of their loved ones. Others walked side-by-side with their arms around each other as they anxiously awaited an answer as others prayed and hugged one another.

  The death toll from the sudden collapse of a condo building in Surfside, Fla., climbed to 11 on Monday, Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava announced at a press conference.  Rescuers are on their fifth day of clearing rubble and debris in search of survivors after the building, near Miami, collapsed unexpectedly in the early hours of Thursday morning.  The recovery of another body on Monday brings the death toll to 11, while another 150 are still missing after the collapse.  ADVERTISEMENT First responders did recover another victim, so in total the number of people accounted for now stands at 136, with 150 unaccounted for, Cava said. Rescue crews are working around the clock, sifting through the rubble for signs of life, even as hopes of finding more survivors grow dimmer by the hour. More than 150 people remain missing after the collapse. Nearby Miami Beach cancelled its fireworks show and festival for the July 4 holiday out of respect for the families and victims affected , the city announced. Emergency responders from Miami Beach have been sent to help with rescue efforts in Surfside, the Miami Beach government said.
