A teenager was stabbed to death only hours into the New Year during an attack in Milton Keynes.
The 18-year-old suffered severe knife injuries in the attack which happened in a Buckinghamshire house in Walshs Manor, Stantonbury, shortly before 3am on New Year s Day.
It came just hours after a father in his 30s named Dod Paul Fletcher was pronounced dead at the scene following a separate stabbing attack in Rayleigh, Essex.
Police and paramedics found two men with stab injuries at the Milton Keynes incident.
Detectives said that they had arrested a 21-year-old suspect on suspicion of murder and he remained in police custody

Additional trusts in covid hotspots such as Kent and London to start giving covid vaccine
A total of 18 trusts have been added to the vaccine programme, bringing the total number of hospitals up to 82
Several NHS trusts in covid hotspot areas will start receiving batches of the vaccine for the first time, according to NHS England.
Barts Health Trust, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and Bedfordshire FT are among the latest set of trusts that will start providing the covid vaccine to over 80s and health and care staff.
These three trusts all operate in tier four areas with the highest rate of covid.
