Health services in red, orange zone have been relocated to green zone – CMO
DR SIMONE KEIZER-BEACHE, the Chief Medical Officer( CMO) Social Share SMART HOSPITALS and other medical facilities in the red and orange zones will be closed during an explosive eruption in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) and their services will be relocated to areas in the green zone.
An emergency press conference was called just after midday yesterday, Thursday 8, where Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves placed the country on high alert due to increased activity at La Soufriere, which has been erupting effusively since December 2020.
Just three hours later, the prime minister called yet another emergency press briefing to issue an evacuation notice to persons living in the red zone on the north east and north west sides of the island.
Dr Goodluck accused of making controversial statements
DR MICHAEL GOODLUCK Social Share A VOICE NOTE denouncing the COVID19 vaccine and making derogatory remarks about residents in communities on the windward side of the island, lit up social media at the weekend.
People were up in arms particularly regarding terms such as dunce, country bookie, and dumb-ass people, which were used to refer to residents living in these communities.
It is widely held that the voice in the 2 minutes 19 seconds recording is that of Dr Michael Goodluck, Medical Officer for the Calliaqua district.
But when asked about it on Tuesday, April 6, Dr Goodluck told SEARCHLIGHT: “so they say but I don’t know anything about that,” adding further, “it doesn’t even sound like me.”

Corporal Andy James, the investigator in the murder case of 36-year-old Denzil Sam of Ottley Hall, claims that he lost all his notes in relation to the matter.
Up to press time Tuesday, Sam was being tried at the Criminal Assizes for the murder of Dexter Rodney, who was shot in the stomach and arm just outside the plant shop of Head of the Cannabis Revival Committee (CRC) Junior ‘Spirit’ Cottle, around midday on October 1, 2015.
