Human remains found in Miller County woods
TUSCUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Human remains were found Monday in a wooded area of Miller County.
Sheriff s deputies were called to the area a little after 3 p.m. on a report of human bones found in the woods, the Miller County Sheriff s Office said in a news release. The deputies then found skeletal remains.
The person s age, gender, how they died and how long they had been in the woods was not known Tuesday, the sheriff s office said. The body was sent to the Boone County Medical Examiner s Office, the sheriff s office said.
More information will be released after the body is identified and next of kin are notified, the sheriff s office said.
An anonymous tip led to the arrest of an Eldon woman in Marshall on Monday, December 7.
The Marshall Police Department was contacted by the Miller County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 1147 on Monday, in reference to an anonymous tip regarding the location of 44-year-old Tammy Schnieders. According to a report from the Marshall Police Department, Schneiders had two active warrants out of Miller County.
An officer was dispatched to 1319 S. Maplewood Circle to investigate. As the officer was turning into Maplewood Circle he observed two females near a parked car in front of the residence. Before the officer could make contact with the individuals, one of the females ran inside the residence.
