Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday notified the revised price of Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) on networks of the SSGC and SNGPL for the current month with a slight upward adjustment. According to a notification, the authority has increased the price of imported RLNG by $0.49 per Million British Thermal Unit (MMBTU) on the system of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC). It fixed the commodity rate at $9.9692 per MMBTU for the month of May, which was available at $9.4779 during the last month.
Similarly, the sale price of per MMBTU RLNG witnessed $ 0.48 increase on the SNGPL system after the authority determined the rate at $10.2528 for the current month, which was being sold at $9.7638 in April.

According to a notification, the authority has fixed the price of imported RLNG at at $9.3145 per Million British Thermal Unit (MMBTU) on the system of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) for the month of March, which was at $9.3570 during the last month.

ISLAMABAD: The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Thursday allowed Rs44 per unit (5.4 per cent) increase in the prescribed price for Karachi-based Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
The increase was determined on the request of the utility on the basis of its estimated revenue requirement (ERR) for financial year 2020-21. The regulator said the company will be able to meet Rs14.3 billion shortfall in its ERR, including prior year shortfall of Rs51bn. The new prescribed price has been worked out at Rs779 per Million British Thermal Unit (MMBTU) from the existing rate of Rs636 per MMBTU.
Construction work on first private sector LNG terminal to start in January

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A multinational company will start construction on first merchant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal in the country by end of the next month [January] after the government opened up the energy sector under its ease-of-doing-business strategy.
“A vibrant structural framework is very much in place under which construction work on the first private sector LNG terminal will start by end of the January, while the physical work on another merchant terminal to commence in second half of the year 2021,” a senior official privy to the petroleum sector developments said.
