WI Exposure Notification, a new mobile app to assist in notifying contacts of people who’ve tested positive for COVID-19, is now live putting the power to slow the spread, quite literally, in your hands.
Officials say the voluntary app complements the state’s and partner agencies’ efforts in contact tracing by letting Wisconsinites know faster if they’ve been in close contact with someone who has tested positive, allowing them to take steps to keep themselves and those around them safe.

MADISON, Wis. - The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin rose by 2,579 on Wednesday, Dec. 23, officials with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported, for a total of 463,954.
There have been 4,614 deaths in the state, with 69 new deaths reported Wednesday by DHS officials.
There are currently two patients being cared for at the Alternate Care Facility at Wisconsin State Fair Park.
Of the positive cases, 20,519 have required hospitalization (4.4%), while 424,946 have recovered (91.7%), making for 33,932 active cases (7.3%).

MILWAUKEE - The first shipments of Moderna s COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Milwaukee County on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
One hundred doses came in Tuesday, with more expected in the coming months.
The holiday season is offering hope for many as frontline health care workers receive a needed dose of optimism. We still have a long road ahead of us, but the near arrival of these vaccinations provide a bit of hope going into the last couple of weeks of this year, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley said.
