63 more reported COVID-19 positive in Rangpur 253 RANGPUR, April 8, 2021 (BSS) – Sixty-three more people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 infection today in Rangpur division showing a rising trend of the infection rate again in recent weeks. Health officials said 63 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported after diagnosing 376 samples at the two COVID-19 laboratories in the division today at the daily infection rate of 16.76 percent. Among the 63 new patients diagnosed today, 39 were reported positive after diagnosing 188 samples at the COVID-19 Laboratory at Rangpur Medical College (RpMC) in Rangpur city. “The 39 new patients include 20 from Rangpur, 13 from Gaibandha, four from Lalmonirhat and one each from Nilphamari and Dinajpur districts,” Principal of Rangpur Medical College Professor Dr. AKM Nurunnobi Lyzu said.
