The middle school s new charging station is in the perfect spot too - it s in the outdoor school commons area. According to Mesa County Valley School District 51 s Facebook, the cell phone charging station even has tables and chairs so students can take a seat and still use their phone while it s charging.

Palisade High Releases Endangered Native Fish Into Colorado River
The Palisade High School Fish Hatchery released their first school of endangered native fish, razorback suckers, into the Colorado River.
After years of planning and raising money, Palisade High School broke ground on their new fish hatchery on April 2, 2019, and by August 2020, their hatchery was up and running. The high school turned a storage building into a fish sanctuary with three 230-gallon tanks with 150 fish in each tank.

Fast forward to now, Palisade High School Fish Hatchery just released their first school of fish of endangered native fish. Here s a look at what it was like releasing the razorback suckers into the Colorado River.
The bike ride my oldest and I took last weekend for Motherâs Day was the eight-mile round-trip section of the Riverfront Trail from Fruita to Loma.
It was the second time Iâd ridden that section of the trail, his first. We had to pedal into some fairly strong winds heading west toward Loma, but knowing weâd have the breeze as a tail wind kept us pushing hard, up the final hill near the Kokopelli Trailhead.
But the spring weather did what spring weather does â the wind switched direction on us â and we had to pedal into the wind on the return trip, too. Whatâs up with that? In spite of the wind changing its mind, we agreed it was a âsplendifferousâ day.
