NM United wins preseason match

New Mexico United found its scoring touch Saturday in a 4-2 preseason win over the visiting Colorado Springs Switchbacks. Isidro Martinez scored twice for United, which hosted the match in front of roughly 300 fans at the club’s Mesa del Sol practice facility. Harry Swartz and Amando Moreno also scored for NMU (2-2-0 in the preseason). Colorado Springs scored first in the 17th minute, but Martinez, Moreno and Swartz netted goals to put United up 3-1 at halftime. After the Switchbacks scored to make it 3-2, Martinez sent a high bending shot into the right side of the net in the 84th minute to conclude the scoring.
