EWMGL gets highest taxpayer award Sun Online Desk 27th January, 2021 02:54:03 East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL), a concern of the country’s largest industrial conglomerate Bashundhara Group, has once again topped the list of taxpaying companies in print and electronic media category. National Board of Revenue (NBR) sources confirmed the news on Tuesday. EWMGL owns English newspaper the daily sun, Bengali dailies Bangladesh Pratidin and Kaler Kantho, television channels NEWS24 and T-Sports, Radio Capital 94.8 FM and online news portal Banglanews24.com. The NBR will gave the tax cards to 76 individuals, 53 organisations and 12 other entities under different categories for their outstanding contribution to the national exchequer in the last fiscal year.
