Certification of Electoral College votes face objections by Republicans

BRYAN, TX â The results of the 2020 Presidential Election reached its final step Jan 6. in Washington as Congress voted to accept the Electoral Collegeâs certification of Joe Bidenâs victory over Donald Trump; this final step, however, did not coming without disruption.
Several members of Congress objected to the certification during what is, traditionally, a routine joint session. Congressman Pete Sessions saying, transparency has lacked in states that have declared Joe Biden the winner.
âI believe, there is significant information that has changed since the reporting by states over the last month. Thereâs a lot of information that has been gained about irregularities,â says Sessions, (R.) U.S. District 17 Congressman.

Kent County Sheriff s Office investigating homicide at Cascade Township hotel

CASCADE TWP., Mich. â The Kent County Sheriff s Office (KCSO) is investigating a shooting at a Cascade Township hotel that killed 1 Grand Rapids.
Police were first dispatched just after 1 p.m. at the Clarion Inn and Suites at 4981 28th St. SE in Cascade Township, on a report of people fighting outside and someone being shot.
Deputies arrived to find Markel Williams, a 23-year-old Grand Rapids man, unresponsive in the parking lot.
Williams was transported via ambulance to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â Kent County Road Commission (KCRC) crews continue to scrape off snow and apply de-icing materials throughout the road network. Drivers are advised to closely monitor conditions that can change rapidly within minutes and take the following precautions
Slow down.
Leave additional space between vehicles.
Avoid in-car distractions.
Give plow trucks plenty of room and do not pass them on the right (wing may be in use)
Donât crowd the plow, maintain a safe distance: Snowplows are large and operators cannot see directly behind the truck.
