Hello, my name is Sabrina Boem and I am a catographer. Since I adopted my cats Sissi and Ricky 9 years ago, I ve fallen in love with cats and I started photographing them. But I don t only take photos of my cats. I love how funny all cats are, as I documented in my shooting about monorail cats.
I also love photographing community cats and I do private shootings of people with their cats at home, which inspired my photo project OF CATS AND MEN to show that special bond.
For as long as I can remember, I ve always noticed how much time cats spend looking through windows at home or napping on the sill. Besides, you all know how curious cats are, so sometimes they just like to sit there and watch passersby or do some bird watching, as my cats often do at home.
Time is an incredible thing. You never really see how much you ve changed until you look back at your old pics and wonder whether the person staring back at you is really you. Sometimes, it doesn’t even take all that long.
And this new TikTok trend is all about the power of transformation. Started by a TikToker named Izzy or @izzysheaa, who amassed 6.3 million likes for her snack-bite clip captioned “Beautiful both ways,” it got more TikTokers revealing how much they have changed.
Sometimes it’s weight loss, other times it’s a new haircut or a different clothing style. Whether it’s a little step outside your ordinary or a dramatic change of lifestyle, like a glow-up gender transition, the beautiful part about humans is that we re constantly changing.
The Furry Artworks series has been at the top of Behance’s special selection for 3 months. Behance founder Scott Belsky awarded the Furry Artworks series with the title of “the most innovative reproduction technique of 2020.” Belsky was so impressed with Yıldırım’s creativity that he became a proud owner of one of the artworks, Furry Lisa.
“Have long believed that creativity is the world’s greatest recycling program, and these wild (and furry) abstract imitations we featured on @Behance by Turkey-based Murat Yildirim are an awesome example of how everything is a riff on everything, and today’s ‘remix generation’ isn’t as new as we think,” Scott Belsky wrote on his Instagram.
