The recent record highs in BSE Sensex and Nifty levels have pushed Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani up two places in the list of world s richest billionaires. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ambani has moved up to the 11th spot; surpassing Oracle Corporation Co-founder Larry Ellison and world s richest woman Francoise Bettencourt Meyers. Ambani now has a total net worth of $79.2 billion (roughly Rs 5.78 lakh crore).

Over the last 3 months, RIL shares have declined nearly 14% and 18.3% from its all-time high level of Rs 2,369.35 touched after the announcement of its deal to buy retail and wholesale assets of Future group. Mukesh Ambani rose to fourth position on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index in August 2020. 
New Delhi: Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani, who is also India s richest person, has slipped further on the world s richest billionaires list. According to Bloomberg Billionaire Index, Mukesh Ambani is now 13th richest in the world. According to the Bloomberg ranking, Ambani s current net worth is $73.4 billion (nearly Rs 5.36 lakh crore), down from nearly $90 billion (Rs 6.62 lakh crore) earlier this year.

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has been replaced as Asia s richest person by Chinese private billionaire Zhong Shanshan. The rise in Shanshan s net worth is attributed to listing of two of companies vaccine maker Beijing Wantai Biological Pharmacy Enterprises Co and Nongu Spring Co, a bottled water firm.
