Soon, the actress was to shoot for her next, Adivi Sesh s Major, which is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who lost his life in 26/11 tragedy. However, due to the pandemic, Saiee M Manjrekar was left homebound during the lockdown. Interestingly, Saiee, who’s now shooting for the film, says that the time off in fact helped her to do better for the film. She tells Bombay Times, “I was supposed to start the film before the lockdown. But during this break I got to spend a lot of time talking to my parents (actors Mahesh Manjrekar and Medha Manjrekar). I also watched a lot of movies and worked upon myself.”
