There is great media focus on the Republican-dominated legislatures determined to unfairly reduce, restrict or eliminate likely Democratic Party voters – just look at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game dust-up over proposed Georgia voting laws.
Because those voters are often minority members, the suppression efforts are both unethical and racist. The antiseptic view of the phenomena, however, is that those GOP legislatures would rewrite election laws to benefit the populations of color if they were reliable Republican voters.

In a new digital ad that it will begin running in New Jersey and Virginia this week, the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) is highlighting the hypocrisy and self-defeating results of the Democrats’ cancel culture crusade. The ad is backed by a five figure buy, will run in multiple targeted districts in each state, and is the first paid media initiative the RSLC has launched in either state ahead of their 2021 legislative elections.

What can you say about an American presidential administration and corporations that so easily embrace an outcry and boycotts over one state’s clean election laws, but looks the other way when it comes to sending its athletes to perform in a nation of ruthless, torturous dictators?
“Hypocrisy” doesn’t adequately describe the evil double standard.
But that’s what we’ve seen in the state of Georgia – where the governor and legislature enacted a law that removes the likelihood of a repeat of the rampant fraud that marred the 2020 election – which motivated Major League Baseball to move its All-Star Game out of Atlanta, caused actor Will Smith to move a film production from the state, and corporate CEOs to issue statements of condemnation over the measure’s alleged “racist” motivation and effect.
